LaseUCD - Unremoved Cone Detection
The patented LaseUCD system is a safety system to avoid unremoved cones under containers from entering into the stack.
LaseUCD
If the cones under containers that have been unloaded from vessels are not removed and end up inside the stack, there is a chance that containers inside the stack interlock. This has the potential for an accident.
The LaseUCD system is a safety system to prevent containers with unremoved cones from being placed in the stack.

LaseUCD
The system consist of two high frequency 2D laser scanners that are installed on the sides of the yard crane.
The proprietary LASE application constructs a 3D pointcloud of the container and scans for unremoved cones. If such an unremoved cone is detected, the LASE application will abort the hoisting process.
